In short, skating in Gudauri is excellent. There is a lot of snow, there are a lot of tracks, there are plenty of interesting tracks too, outside the tracks you can go wherever you want, there are lifts, beautiful views and so on. However, you can argue that it is snowing in the Alps, some kilometers of tracks will be more comfortable, comfortable gondolas as lifts too, for types generally do not care and so on. So the tangible advantage can only be that freeride dofiga and more, but in the Alps, but the service is steeper. About the service, however, in another record.

Lifts
For those who ride around (in heights there is a height difference from bottom to top):
three-seat lift of the first stage (2155 – 2000 = 155);

cabins of the second stage (2710 – 2160 = 550);
a throw from the booths still slightly up (2800 – 2710 = 90);
from the chair of the second stage, another three-seat lift of the third stage to the right top (3005 – 2665 = 340);
from the cabins from the booths, the four-seat lift of the third stage to the left top (3268 – 2775 = 493); here, by the way, it is worth going up just for the sake of views of Kazbegi and other mountains – hence it is the best, sorry there are no photos;
somewhere below the bow for the smallest and noobs.

On weekends, with good weather, people are actually full and stand in a queue for about 10 minutes – as you are a fig. Especially on a long weekend, which was March 8-9-10. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the hot mountaineers and the rod on the side of the queue, and the human mass, as a rule, stupid, and on the lift should definitely go out with that friend who walked in a parallel queue, but has not yet reached, and on the four-wheelchair with a sickly queues can leave for 1-2 people (in the photo the queue is small, very small, compared to what we saw on March 9).

The lifts of the first and second lines do not close in such a fog that the driving seat is not visible ahead, and the tracks can be found only by touch (only the next one can be seen from one stick to the side of the track, and even if you are right there), they are closed. In March, when we were, on weekdays the lifts worked from 10 to 16, on weekends from 10 to 17. De facto they opened a little earlier, and they were closed strictly by the hour. At 16 o’clock in March, on the one hand, it seems that you can still ride and ride, but in fact it is correct, the contrast is already not the same and it becomes evident that it becomes bad.

Ski pass
Somewhere in one and a half times cheaper than in Europe. My cost for 8 days was 197 lari (1 lari ≈ 19 rubles, totally a little less than 100, but a little more than 90 €). The use of someone else’s skipass is monitored. About the rest of the prices will be in the record about the service.
The beauty of this card is that) nifiga is not visible, the map is of normal size by reference: not all the tracks marked on it exist in reality (7B are often not cleaned, we did not see 5C at all (this is red with Sadzele), more the long black highway with Sadzele is pure freeride, there were no tracks either, 7D also don’t remember) c) marking the tracks with flowers in some places is controversial (at least 3B (distant from Kudebi) in Austria would definitely be called red ( well, cool, yes, but wide), and 3C rather black, in other cases, you can probably agree ); they also deliver a blue 3A, starting from nowhere, which can only be reached from black ones; in this case, the solid part of the lower part of 7A can be easily painted in green, while its middle part can be tinted red in places. Not an essence, you will understand more shortly. The ascents / descents can look like this (the first place exists only in order to climb the main gurney in the morning):
1 → 2 → 5 → descend to the beginning 3 → 3 → descent wherever the soul wishes;
1 → 2 → 5 → descent to the beginning 6 → 6 → descent wherever the soul wishes.
Those. the message is that if you want to 6, then the most sensible thing is to move down from the top 5; from top 2 to top 4 to go uphill, and to go by 3, and then by 4 – is tiring for a long time, because the main contingent of skiers on 4 are children, and this lift goes slower than everyone else, and if it went up in the booth (3), then it is better to go down immediately. The rise from the bottom 1 to the top 5 takes a good 20-25 minutes. Existing tracks rumble every day, or almost every day, sometimes even in the middle of the day, between the skiers.
If we talk about which tracks I liked the most, then:

4А / B-7А and rollout to the bottom of the second stage of the chairlift: simple, only with a pair of more or less steep slopes; good because you can slowly and even lazily turn over there, back, back, back …
2C-7D – perhaps the most speedy and interesting route, which if you rush in one breath, it will be great!
